The term “prepper” comes from the word “preparation” – and it can mean anything from being prepared for a natural disaster (like an earthquake) to being prepared for viral outbreaks, financial valleys (or worse), government collapse or tyranny, to war, chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons, and everything in between.
Each of us is acutely aware of our comfort zone. That with which we're not comfortable, we prepare in one of two main ways:
- We fully immerse ourselves in becoming prepared, or
- We half-ass get ready or bury our heads in the sand
Further, there are various situations that we may be more–or less–prepared for. For example, you may be ready for being without utilities like water and electricity for a few days after a substantial earthquake, but you're totally not prepared a financial collapse. Each of these areas will be discussed in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
Stay tuned for more. The idea here being that we build a base and then add to it as we see fit.
